The Week Ahead For Cyber Security Legislation * BIG WEEK AHEAD FOR CYBERSECURITY – Sen. Joe Lieberman and others may have introduced a new bill last week, but that doesn’t mean the chamber is going to turn immediately to reform. There are other issues on the horizon – especially the Bush tax cuts – that demand the Senate’s more immediate attention while reform bill supporters iron out the political kinks, particularly among Republicans. Here’s what you need to know this week, and what you may have missed from the weekend: –LIEBERMAN THINKS MTP IS ATTAINABLE: The senator told POLITICO that he thinks he’s got 60 votes on a motion to proceed, even if some members ultimately vote against the bill. Of course, that doesn’t mean some Republicans – like Sen. Dan Coats – aren’t already criticizing the newly minted reform proposal.
